EUREKA WATERS is an artist in his own way, without specific stylistic boundaries. Whatever inspiration bubbles up to the surface: love, life, relationships, politics, the current (dire) state of the world, anything can and will be converted into a song. Under a warm blanket of jazz, soul, funk, folk or pop. It may be hard to put a label on for conventional radio, but that’s where Spotify comes in. Add any song of your liking to your own playlist.
Michael has performed live as a solo Jazz pianist, singer/ songwriter as well as keyboard player in various local and international performing bands. By way of New York, Los Angeles, he found his way to Tulsa OK and to Eureka Springs, AR, (commuting between both cities) where he is currently working as a music producer and musician.

For his EUREKA WATERS TRIO recordings, Michael works together with Brazilian bass player Itaiguara Brandão, who currently lives and works in NY and Brazilian native drummer Christiano Galvão. These trio recordings have been taking place online, as it is not uncommon these days. The musical magic still happens, even though the musicians don’t share the same recording studio.
New York based, Brazilian (double) bass player Itaiguara Brandão is a very experienced and unquestionably epic session musician. He’s globally acclaimed and accredited on Sony & BMG record labels. Rio de Janeiro based veteran drummer Christiano Galvão is known for versatile style. His career is highlighted by gold and platinum albums. The EUREKA WATERS TRIO recordings are mastered by another Rio de Janeiro based mastering Maestro (or mastering doula as I like to call him): Luiz Tornaghi, a 10x Latin Grammy winner, and a veteran in the music industry.
For his live band the EUREKA WATERS TRIO, Michael combined forces with drummer Tim Pope and bass player Aaron Mashburn when performing in Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Tim Pope is a Los Angeles native drummer, who has performed all over the world with some of the greats like: Ray Charles, Chubbie Checker, La Toya Jackson and Tony Orlando. He currently resides in Branson, MI and is the grooving backbone of the band.
Aaron Mashburn is a NWA native bassist, he has played bass for various national acts such as Liz Moriondo, Larry B’s Soul Experience and Funk Sensation.
EUREKA WATERS TRIO plays an eclectic mix of Jazz, Soul, Funk, Pop and Folk originals and covers. As a composer and producer Michael Waters worked for a range of Neo Soul, Jazz, and Pop artists and he performs songs from his own catalogue as well as newly written material for this band. Mixed with covers from artists such as Curtis Mayfield, The Crusaders and Al Jarreau to Jamie Cullum, Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan.
EUREKA WATERS performs solo (piano/ vocals), as a duo (piano/ vocals and bass), or as a trio (piano/vocals, bass and drums).
